"Hi! I'm Alexandra Adlawan, an Autistic author, illustrator, and animator. Being diagnosed late at the age of fifteen, I strongly believe that being diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is what brings me to where I am today.
I have always loved to write stories and draw characters. My parents have kept my old volumes I started at a very young age. These stories and drawings were my escape from difficulties I experienced. I am an avid reader and my most enjoyable times are when I'm in a library or bookstore.
Maddie and Albert are two characters that have come to the forefront over the last several years. Using their imagination, they escape their reality to a limitless world of adventures. .
In “Wild Imagination”, Maddie and Albert are the central characters in the story, and although they are opposites, they find a way to form a bond. Albert is shy, quiet, and loves to read. Maddie, on the other hand, is boisterous and full of energy.
When Maddie and Albert spark a friendship, they journey through a series of adventures spanning space, the open seas, and an African Safari, to name a few."
